Hyderabad High Court stays the release of Srikanth’s Mental Police

The Hyderabad High Court stayed the release of upcoming drama “Mental Police” in which actor Srikanth is playing the lead role. Recently, the Telangana Police officers Association conducted a press meet to warn Telugu filmmakers who are degrading the police department by using titles and scenes which is objectionable as it hurts the honour of police.


The Police Officer Association filed a petition in the high court seeking the direction and court issued stay orders for the release of Mental Police. The court has sent  legal notice to the producer and actor Srikanth to change the title. Earlier Association forced producer Dil Raju to change the title of Vijay starrer movie “Theri” which was titled as Policeodu in Telugu but later Dil Raju changed the title  to Police. Recently makers of Mental Police released the trailer in which Srikanth was seen sitting on the road with the garland of chappals. Actress Aksha  is playing the female lead role. The movie is directed by Karanam Babji and Produced by AVV Durga Prasad on Anagani films banner.
