KCR arrived at the programme venue Jal Vihar, around 12.30 p.m. on Sunday and left ten minutes later after making a short speech. As he was leaving he ran into his AP counterpart outside the auditorium. For a brief moment the two CMs shook hands as photographers clicked away. then, KCR left from the venue. Later, Chandhra Babu Naidu walked in and occupied the seat next to the Governor, which KCR had occupied a short while ago.

Significantly most of the speakers, including the Governor, harped on the unity theme. They waxed eloquent about the need for the two CMs to work together, but this was hardly in evidence as Mr. Naidu and KCR seemed to have carefully avoided sharing the dais.

KCR congratulated and praised Mr. Dattatreya for organising the programme and said ‘Alai Balai’ played a key role in the Telangana movement. Though he had a busy schedule he chose to come for the event out of respect for Dattatreya, Senior BJP Leader.

Chandhra babu naidu said “he was in hyderabad for 35 years and will be here in future also. it is needful that mutual cooperation of two states for better improvements. ” he signed off by saying “Jai Telangana, Jai Andhra Pradesh, Jai Bharath”
