National Institute of Plant Health Management – Recruitment 2015

Applications are invited by the National Institute of Plant Health Management, Hyderabad, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, from eligible candidates for recruitment to 15 posts of Director, Assistant Director, Technician (one post each), Lab Attendant (2 posts) and MTS (10 posts) on Direct recruitment basis or on Deputation basis.

Pay scale:
For Director (PMD): PB-4 of Rs.37400- 37000 with Grade Pay of Rs.8900 per month
For Assistant Director (RPM): PB-3 of Rs.15600- 39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400 per month
For Technician (Mechanic): PB-1 of Rs.5200- 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2400 per month
For Lab Attendant: PB-1 of Rs.5200- 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800 per month
For MTS: PB-1 of Rs.5200- 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800 per month (all the categories)

Eligibility:
Qualifications:
For Director (PMD): Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should hold a Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Agricultural Chemistry with at least 6 years of relevant work experience OR Masters in Agriculture with at least 15 years of relevant work experience OR Ph.D. in the relevant subject with minimum work experience of 17 years.
For Assistant Director (RPM): Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should hold a Master’s Degree in Zoology/ Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Entomology/ Veterinary Science with specialization in Rodent/other Vertebrate Pest Management and minimum relevant work experience of 7 years OR Ph.D. in the relevant subject with minimum work experience of 4 years.
For Technician (Mechanic): Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should have pass class 12th and hold a Diploma in Automobile Engineering/ Motor Mechanic or equivalent with minimum one year experience in the relevant field OR pass Matriculation with ITI in Automobile Engineering/ Motor Mechanic or equivalent and minimum 05 years experience in the relevant filed.
For Lab Attendant: Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should have passed Matriculation or equivalent pass and should be able to perform the duties as prescribed.
For MTS: Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should have passed Matriculation or equivalent and hold a Certificate in Gardening/ Landscaping/ Agricultural Field Operations/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle/ Motor Driving- cum- Mechanic with valid LMV/ HMV driving License, as applicable.
Age limit: as on the closing date for receipt of the applications.
For Director (PMD): Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should maximum 55 years of age
For Assistant Director (RPM): Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should maximum 45 years of age
For Technician (Mechanic), Lab Attendant & MTS [all categories]: Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years of age

Selection process:
selection of candidates would be done through written test/ Power Point Presentation / Trade test/ interview, as applicable for the concerned post.
The probation period for direct recruits will be 02 years
NOTE: Only those candidates who are willing to take-up residence (throughout the service) within a radius of 03 km of NIPHM office should apply.

About NIPHM: Established in 1966 as the National Plant Protection Training Institute (NPPTI) for Human Resource Development in Plant Protection Technology under the Directorate of Plant Protection, the Institute was registered as an Autonomous Society under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, on October 24, 2008 under the name, National Institute of Plant Health Management. The main responsibility of the NPPTI was to create qualified pest management personnel in adequate numbers both in the Central Government and in the Departments of Agriculture of States/ Union Territories (UTs) to impart training to farmers. The Institute has been entrusted with the responsibility of organizing both long and short duration training courses for Human Resource Development on different aspects of Plant Protection.
