Detail of Post :

The IGNCA requires one Project Coordinator on contract basis to work in the project “Archiving of IGNCA resource materials and collections”. The Contractual term will be up to 31.12.2016 (may be extendable). The job responsibility of Project Coordinator is as under:- The Project Coordinator will work under the overall guidance of the Project Director and Director (Lib. & Inf.) of Kala Nidhi Division of the IGNCA, and to coordinate with a team of Project Assistants. The project involves cataloguing and accessioning of IGNCA archival holding and collections of artefacts and ethnographic objects. The archives include recordings, documents and images.

Qualification and Experience:
1. Master degree in Humanities/Arts from a recognised University or Institution. (Preferably with a Ph.D or M.Phil degree). 2. Minimum six years experience in documentation and research in areas related to art and culture. 3. Work experience in memory institutions like archives, museums, libraries etc. 4. Excellent computer skills and ability to work with databases and metadata. 5. Ability to coordinate project work. 6. Experience or knowledge of cataloguing standards for objects, audio visual media, crafts etc. 7. Good communication skills. 8. Experience/familiarity with cataloguing standards of museums, libraries and archives. 9. General knowledge of tradition arts and crafts, performing arts of India and related areas is essential. Remuneration – Rs.60,000/- per month. Place of posting – IGNCA, New Delhi Period – Up to 31.12.2016 ( may be extendable) Age – Not more than 64 years

Selection Procedure :

Written Test on 19/04/2016
Shortlisted candidates will undertake face to face interview.
Dates are yet to be announced for the final selection

Candidates are requested to fill in the prescribed form given below, supported by self attested copies of testimonials. Walk-in-interview will be held on 19.4.2016 at 10.00 a.m. in the IGNCA’s Board Room, Ground Floor, No.11 Man Singh Road, New Delhi-110001. Candidates are requested to report at 9.30 a.m. for verification of certificates and only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for interview. Those who have appeared in the Walk-in-interview on 29th March,2016 need not appear again. The IGNCA reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason. The decision of the IGNCA regarding selection of applicants for interview and engagement shall be final.
